Spanish: Sílabas Iniciales Palomitas de Maíz

I’ve been working on making more word work stations in Spanish.  Here is my latest creation. It has a popcorn theme that can be used at any time of the school year.

Spanish Initial Syllbles Popcorn Theme

This resource includes 3 stations to give your students practice identifying the initial syllable in pictures or finding a picture that begins with a given syllable. Each station includes 12 task cards and an answer recording sheet.  Answer recording sheets include a QR code scan and check feature but the activities can all be done without this option.

Here is a closer look at each station:

Station 1: Find the Initial Syllable for Each Picture

Select a card.  Look at the picture and say its name aloud.  Choose the syllable it begins with. Record your answers on the answer recording sheet. Scan the QR code when you are finished to check your work.
